Mr. Dave Mueller
Principal's Corner

We celebrate our Catholic witness through several upcoming events. Please pray for the students and adults participating in the Kairos retreat at the Jesuit Spiritual Center at Milford and those participating in the March for Life in Washington D.C. this week. Next week we'll celebrate Catholic Schools Week with a mix of religious and fun celebrations.

We continue to be grateful for our HOPE Squad and our partnership with the Grant Us Hope Foundation. Here is helpful information for parents in a recent newsletter from the foundation.

The Ohio Department of Education (ODE) plans to publish parent EdChoice Scholarship request forms on January 27, and the window for the school to submit applications on behalf of eligible families opens on February 1. Families who reside at addresses assigned to public high schools on the ODE list of designated high schools are eligible to apply. McNicholas will email an update this week to families in the six designated public school districts nearest to McNicholas. If your family resides at an address assigned to a public high school on the designated list and you do not receive this email, please contact Mrs. Kendra Lonneman at klonneman@mcnhs.org.

Annual McNicholas Blood Drive scheduled for Fri., Jan. 31

Did you know that more than 13 percent of Hoxworth Blood Center's total yearly blood collections come from high school blood drives? In fact, during the last school year, there were approximately 12,000 donors at high school blood drives. Please click here to schedule   your donation appointment on campus. Please contact Pat Farwick at  pfarwick@mcnhs.org  of  you have any questions. Thank you!

The McNicholas Boutique now accepting donations for Mardi Gras

The McNicholas Boutique is a "shop" dedicated to re-purposing and providing dance and special occasion apparel for women in the McNicholas community.   Our hope is that students might enjoy an event without worrying about the cost of a dress and accessories.

As we prepare for Mardi Gras in February, we are seeking donations of formal and dressy dresses, shoes, and accessories. The Boutique is also in need of racks and small shelves. We also accept cash donations. Please bring your donations of clothing or accessories to the main office. If you have any questions, please contact Mary Beth Sandmann at msandmann@mcnhs.org.
