Life as a Rocket

Historic Veterans Day program available for viewing
On Monday, Nov. 11, McNicholas hosted its annual Veterans Day breakfast and program. The centerpiece of the morning was a talk by Command Sergeant Major Henry Armstrong who shared his story of serving in World War II. Armstrong spoke of encounters with Gen. Patton, a concentration camp in Austria, and the profound pride of seeing the Statue of Liberty when returning home. Veterans and student ambassadors from this past spring's Soaring Valor trip reunited for breakfast and an unforgettable morning. Thanks to Mrs. Barb Gillming and her video production students, you can enjoy Armstrong's unforgettable first-person account of his time serving our country in World War II.

McNick at Night

McNicholas High School will host McNick at Night on Saturday, March 14, 2020, at Norlyn Manor in Batavia. This event is our largest fundraiser, and it helps to support our school in many ways that tuition alone cannot cover. The evening includes an open bar, an elegant buffet dinner, games, silent and live auctions, and entertainment. The auction accounts for a significant portion of the event proceeds. While we rely heavily on the business community to donate items for the auction, we also count on the support of the McNicholas family and individuals like you, our dedicated parents, alumni, and friends.
We are expecting a quick sell-out this year, based on the success of last year's event.  We will be wearing the green for St. Patrick's Day, and the evening will have a distinctly Irish feel. We do hope that you will be able to join us.  If you cannot attend, please consider donating an item to include in the auction. There will be a receptive audience at McNick at Night looking forward to bidding on items like tickets to sporting or entertainment events, a vacation home rental, restaurant gift cards, jewelry, or anything in between! If you know that you would like to donate, please complete the Auction Donation Form and return to the Development Office by February 28.  Please contact Annette McHugh at 513-619-5814 or if you have any questions.
