The Emerging Professional's Companion
The EPC is a online resource developed by the AIA and NCARB primarily for use by interns in gaining IDP credit. The EPC contains 17 chapters that align with the experience categories and areas of NCARB's Intern Development Program (IDP). AIA Wisconsin hosts Activities outlined in the EPC for Associate AIA members.
ARE Lending Library
Members can borrow Architect Registration Examination (ARE) study materials from Kaplan AEC Education that cover all sections of the ARE exam.
AIA Contract Documents Associate AIA members can and should use AIA Contract Documents as study materials for the Construction Documents and Services Division. And, use them when completing activities in the Emerging Professional's Companion. Samples are available to members.
All candidates applying to take the Architect Registration Examination (ARE) will be required to establish a record with the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB).
FYI: Wisconsin applicants do not necessarily need to complete NCARB's Intern Development Program (IDP) or meet its education requirements, but you must establish a NCARB record and obtain a record number before the Wisconsin Department of Regulation & Licensing can authorize you to start taking the exam.
