On Mother's Daywe think of our families and everything they have given us - love, support, and strength. Along with all of the wonderful traits your mother or father may have passed down to you - dimples, brown eyes, or even that second toe that is longer than your big toe - if one of your parents has FH, you have a 50% chance of inheriting that gene too.

Individuals with FH have a twenty fold risk of developing early heart disease, but THERE IS GOOD NEWS! While you cannot make your second toe any shorter, there is a lot you can do to manage your FH and significantly reduce your risk

So, are YOU wearing your Mom's (or Dad's) FH genes?

It's important to say connected with the FH community!
During the month of May the FH Foundation will hold a drawing to win a FREE i-PAD MINI!

  • FH requires proactive treatment.
  • If high cholesterol and/or early heart disease is part of your family history, consult a lipid specialist today.
