I mentioned the word energy in the first paragraph. Raw foods carry a specific energy or bioforce specific to each food. This is not the metabolic energy derived from food after we digest it. It is the energy pattern based on how the plant manifests its vital force. In easy terms, the vital force in the plant gives its configuration of enzymes, phytonutrients, minerals and other nutrients. The farther the food is away from its natural energy structure, the harder it is to digest, assimilate and eliminate its waste residue. All food has a waste residue after digestion and usage by the body. And we wonder why we have kidney and intestinal problems. The eliminative organs can only handle so much. This is why it's important to drink plenty of water and do a 24 hour fast a few times a month--even if it's a juice fast, water fast, or just pick a day and eat one meal".
