THIS WEEK'S TALK BY

REV. CATH DEPALMA

"Perspective is Everything"

"Is it easy to see the Divine in all? Not really. Are we at peace with everyone we meet, especially ourselves? Not necessarily. Knowing that we are all living the One Life of Spirit allows us to begin to see the divinity in all beings, even those hardest to imagine that way. Seeing from the Infinite’s perspective transforms how we view and experience our world. Knowing all that we are takes peace to a whole other level. Are you ready?" - Rev. Cath DePalma

For the past 7 years, Rev. Cath has helped communities move through transition as an Interim Minister for Centers for Spiritual Living. She has authored 2 books with a 3rd one on the way: I Do My Best Work Behind the Scenes. Previously, she served as Co-Director of Central Florida CSL, (Orlando), with her husband, John, for 26 years. Currently she lives in Kelowna, British Columbia with her husband, enjoying the great Northwest.

GUEST ARTISTS

Michael Killen + Dianne Killen

Award-winning musicians and songwriters Michael and Dianne Killen have been performing their brand of positive acoustic music as The Killens since first meeting in Nashville nearly 30 years ago as musicians in the CSLN (then known as RSN) Sunday morning house band. Michael is an Emmy award-winning composer and Dianne is a past recipient of the prestigious Boston Music Award and has opened for George Strait, Alabama, Mary Chapin Carpenter, and Poco. Together they have recorded several albums of their music and have had their songs featured on The Hallmark Channel, Lifetime, and RFD-TV. A highlight of their career was opening for The Beach Boys and performing on The Grand Old Opry, and having a song recorded by country artist Michael Martin Murphey. In 2004, Michael and Dianne relocated to Colorado where they started their own successful media company. They currently host their own podcast called The Hallmark Cafe and are thrilled to be returning to their spiritual home at CSLN to share their music.

Volunteer Opportunity

The church that bought our building is part of an organization that helps young women who are survivors of human trafficking. The organization, Aristevi, helps woman start a new life after human trafficking along with education, clothes and living arrangements. We recently donated a large number of chairs to them and they shared with us that they will be needing winter coats, personal care items and other things in the coming months. Thank you to several volunteers who volunteered to coordinate how our community can support Aristevi. Thank you to Becky Meagher who has offered to take the lead on this. If you would like to join this team of volunteers, contact admin@cslnashville.org. More info will follow as the team identifies how CSLN can help.

Occasional Text Notifications

There are occasions when CSLN has sent a text message to our members who have provided us their phone number. We have used this method of communication when we notified people of a service being cancelled because of weather, when we have had important updates about topics such as the building sale or offers or reminders for some community meetings or events. If you have not received occasional texts and would like to, please update your contact info with your phone number by emailing admin@cslnashville.org.

Hospitality Volunteers Needed

We are looking for volunteers to help with hospitality on the 4th Sunday of every month and on the 5th Sunday during those months with 5 Sundays. We are also looking for a hospitality coordinator. Please contact Marylla Rosebaugh if you are interested.

Online Service Chat Box Volunteers Needed

CSLN is looking for a few volunteers from our online community to moderate the YouTube chat box on Sunday mornings. This is a great opportunity for our members who prefer watching our service online to get involved and help our online viewers connect. You'll be provided some tools to get you started and can volunteer for as many Sundays per month as you like. Contact Rekell at admin@cslnashville.org if you are interested.

Participate in Spirituality and Technology Research

One of our members and Practitioners, Tonya Miller-Hire, is working on her PhD and the topic of her thesis is how technology is influencing spirituality. We can all help Tonya with her research by participating in an online survey. This will take approximately 35 minutes, can be stopped at anytime and can be anonymous. If you are interested in taking the survey, the link is below:

SPIRITUAL MIND TREATMENT

 Laura Landress, RScP

I know there is one infinite, loving, power and presence of God. This infinite power and presence of Divinity is within me and is indestructible. I can rely on this indestructible presence to always take care of me. I turn to the presence of God within me now and always. I relax knowing that my way is made before me and I direct this power with clear thinking. I am healthy and I am clear about what I want. Coming from this place of peace within myself I share acceptance and understanding with all that I meet. I surrender to the good of God everywhere. I give great thanks for this knowing and release my word into the power and love of God that makes it so, And So It Is!
