Use Your Voice to Become a Physician Advocate

Make your voice heard on the top legislative issues this year at CMA’s Annual Legislative Advocacy Day. Join us on April 19th to lobby our State Assemblymembers and Senators on bills impacting the practice of medicine. Our meetings with elected officials will be virtual, so you can conveniently participate from your office or home.

We welcome first timers! To help you prepare, CMA will be hosting a Legislative Day Training webinar on Tuesday, March 29th.

RSVP for CMA Legislative Day

Can’t make it to Legislative Day? There are many other ways you can make your voice heard on health care policy issues.

  • Join the ACCMA Legislative Committee - meet with elected officials on important bills, interview candidates running for office, and influence which candidates CMA and ACCMA support.

  • When urgent issues arise, call or write your elected representatives and share the impact certain bills will have on your practice and your patients. Look out for ACCMA Calls to Action throughout the year, and when you see these, pick up the phone or send a quick email.

  • Sign up for CMA’s Physician Advocate program to gain tools and resources that help you protect the medical profession by making your voice heard to elected officials and policymakers.

  • Support our local and state Political Action Committees - ACCPAC and CALPAC - by making a financial contribution, which goes to support candidates whose views are most consistent with ACCMA and CMA policy positions.

If you are interested in joining the ACCMA Legislative Committee or have any questions, please contact the ACCMA at [email protected] or call (510) 654-5383.
