Dear Human Options Family,

We hope you are all doing well as we are navigating this “new normal”. Over the past month, our team has continued to work tirelessly to adjust our services so that we can safely serve victims of relationship violence. We are seeing i ncreased incidents of relationship violence happening around the globe. Sheltering in place in an already volatile home combined with economic and job uncertainty can be the perfect storm for relationship violence. Locally, hotlines and law enforcement are seeing a 25% increase in calls for help.

During this global pandemic, we have more of a responsibility now than ever to reach out to those who may need our help. As a community, we need to be more alert to our friends and loved ones who we know or believe may be experiencing relationship violence.

While resources during the outbreak may be limited, we remain open and ready to serve all who need it.

Warm Regards,
Maricela Rios-Faust, MSW, LCSW, CFRE
Chief Executive Officer
