Are There Really Pennies from Heaven?

How to Get Federal Money for your Congregation's Solar Project

Wednesday, November 8 from 3 to 4:30 Mountain on Zoom

Join NM IPL online to learn how your congregation can get money from the federal government for your solar panel installation and other renewable energy projects! We'll be joined by Tiffany Hartung, national Interfaith Power and Light's Chief Strategy Officer.

The Inflation Reduction Act’s new rules are making it possible for houses of worship and other non-profits to benefit from tax credits for renewable energy. You read that right—even organizations that don't pay taxes can get money from the federal government now. Thanks to the IRA, your congregation can get a 30%+ rebate (called “elective pay” or “direct pay”) for solar panel installation and for a few other renewable energy efforts. Join our webinar to learn how this works and get your questions answered.

We’ll also be sharing updates about the Department of Energy’s Renew America's Nonprofit grant for energy efficiency.

In the meantime, learn more about federal funding here at IPL's Resource Page.
