A Verse for Today!
"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known unto God;
and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding,
will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."
Philippians 4: 6-7

WOW!
What an uncertain, unusual, unexpected
2020 month of our lives!
How our lives have drastically changed in a month! I had my last scheduled Ladies' Day on March 14th, and while we did social distance to some degree, it was a wonderful, spiritually uplifting morning with great attendance!
Since then, we have all had to manage most of our worship and gatherings technologically. Needless to say, I have been very grateful that many of our congregations have been advanced enough to do that and I hope each of you have found your "go to" worship services and Bible studies. I hope you have used some of the resources that were sent in earlier Newsletters. Thankfully, we have many of them!
That being said, I miss my brothers and sisters in Christ! I miss the fellowship. I miss their eyes. I miss their voices. I miss hugs. Seeing names flash up on the screen during online Bible Study is encouraging, but it is far from being together in physical fellowship.
I do hope that you have been blessed during this time in other ways: more time with family, time for a garden and flowers, more time to be in God's Word, more time to read, cook, work on home projects and even reprioritize life at bit. Maybe you have realized that Homeschooling could be an option for you. Maybe you have realized that you could work from home. Maybe you have realized that you need to make more time for The Lord. Maybe you have realized that life is short and eternity is long. Maybe you have realized that you need to be prepared EVERY DAY to meet Jesus Christ face to face in judgment!
Lets' all pray daily for those affected by the virus. Our hearts hurt with them. Please pray daily for our President, our Nation and our leaders. Pray that they will be strong and courageous. And please pray that this physical, deadly scourge on our people may turn hearts and minds back to the things that really matter . . . back to our Creator and His will for our lives!
For His Glory,
Sheila
My prayer for each of you . . .

P.S. In my bedroom kneeling, with face bowed down this morning, I prayed that our Father might heal our land physically. It dawned on me that He might be reminding us that we need to be healed spiritually. Either way, I'm with Him!
