Greetings!
Are YOU a “TRUE WORSHIPER”?
“The true worshipers will worship the Father in Spirit and Truth.”
John 4:23
So, are you a TRUE worshiper? No, I didn’t ask you where you worship or if you could pass a written test on the doctrines of the Bible. That’s good, but in baseball analogy that would just be first or maybe second base.
True worshipers have POWER along with their TRUTH. They not only pass the written exam but also the driver’s test. They are able to maneuver through the day without giving way to temper, irritation, gossip, pride, appetite, passion, feelings, emotions and wrong thoughts. Scripture refers to it as the fruit test (Matthew 7:20). Have you found this freedom, this liberty to live above the pull of your flesh?
I know so many people that go to the right church, on the right day and have a beautiful assent to truth and live a good lifestyle but have not found freedom from their fallen natures as stated above. How sad! “Almost Christians, yet not fully Christians, they seem near the kingdom of heaven, but they cannot enter there. Almost but not wholly saved, means to be not almost but wholly lost.” COL 118
The last day church in the Bible is exemplified by the parable of the wise and foolish virgins. The foolish versions have Truth, the right church, and a good lifestyle but they lack the Spirit. The Spirit is what gives power to LIVE OUT the truth in everyday living. If we are not cooperating with the Holy Spirit's leading we are powerless, foolish virgins.
We would all do well to, “Examine yourselves, whether you be in the faith; prove your own selves.” 2 Corinthians 13:5
