Workbook: Estate Planning for Visual Artists
The Joan Mitchell Foundation and Arts & Business Council of Greater Boston collaborated in 2015 to create the Estate Planning Workbook for Visual Artists. The workbook serves as a guide for artists to understand and create an estate plan, addressing both physical artwork and intellectual property concerns. It covers key elements of estate planning, such as legacy vehicles, wills, trusts, power of attorney, healthcare proxy, living will, choosing personal representatives, copyright, and other aspects. The workbook is part of the Foundation's Creating a Living Legacy (CALL) initiative, providing resources and tools for artists in studio organization, documentation, and artwork inventorying.

Emergency Grant: Foundation for Contemporary Arts
The Foundation for Contemporary Arts provides urgent funding for visual and performing artists who experience sudden, unanticipated opportunities to present their work to the public, with insufficient time to seek other sources of funding, or who encounter unexpected or unbudgeted expenses for projects close to completion with committed exhibition or performance dates. Applicants must primarily work in the United States, but their projects may be located in the United States or abroad.
