BlueALPS™

We have good news to share!

MEDSource has received approval on a Trademark for our BlueALPS™ from the US Patent and Trademark Office.

BlueALPS™ is the third and latest addition to our ALPS product line that was first introduced in 2009. In case you're wondering,  ALPS is an acronym for
Adjustable Lateral Positioning System.

The complete ALPS product line consists of:

ALPS Pegboard
ALPS Pegboard

The original ALPS is a popular pegboard system created for spine and orthopedic labs,  providing features for use with 22" and 24" wide lab tables without surgical accessory rails. The original ALPS includes:
  • two center sections, one that is 2" wider than the other (to accommodate different table widths)
  • two end sections, each with a blue surgical rail
  • eight positioning pegs in two different diameters (White = 1", Black = 1.5")
  • two flat bottom roll "bumps"

BreakingALPS
A single pegboard platform with two moving pieces that adjust the
pitch  angle from  10 to 50 degrees and eliminates the need for a radiolucent flat bottom gel bump. Although BreakingALPS was designed for lateral spine labs to simulate using a 'breaking' O.R. table, it is commonly used as a positioning pegboard for Direct Anterior Hip Replacement labs.

And now, BlueALPS™

A modular pegboard for use with 'breaking' surgical tables, such as STERIS 3080 & 3085, Skytron 6500, and other tables where pegboard positioning is needed on both the main torso and foot sections. A single   BlueALPS™ is a better choice than using two standard pegboards, as labs have done in the past.
BlueALPS™

BlueALPS™ consists of:
  • one 24" wide by 30" long torso section
  • two extensions, 24" wide by 7.5" long, all dovetail connected to each other
  • eight yellow positioning pegs (1.25" diameter)
If a longer pegboard is needed for use with an existing lab table or 'non-breaking' pain management or diving board table, all three pieces of BlueALPS™  can be dovetailed together to form a single 45" long pegboard.

If you're wondering why the name "BlueALPS™?" The simple answer is, because it's BLUE!
