Artist Presentation: Papel Machete: On the Eve of Abolition, Work-in-Progress

Artist Papel Machete is presenting their work-in-progress version of their Creative Capital Project. Set in the year 2047, this piece focuses on a newly liberated territories formerly known as the USA and Mexico after the end of the prison-industrial complex.

Dates: September 30 - October 2, 2022

Location: Dallas, TX

Admission: $10-$25

The Bennett Prize: Propelling the Careers of Women Figurative Realist Painters is a stipend/grant-in-aid program established by American art collectors Steven Alan Bennett and Dr. Elaine Melotti Schmidt to support a woman painter working in figurative realism. This artist is for woman identifying painters that live in the United States and are over 18 years ago who paint in the genre of figurative realism.

Grant Deadline: October 7, 2022

Grant Amount: $50,000 (over two years)
