  a On Thursday, April 11, your Chamber presents the 2024 Oro Valley Economic Outlook, featuring the Spring Business Expo, a luncheon, and guest speakers.

  a The expo is open from 9 to 11 a.m. at Platinum member El Conquistador Tucson, A Hilton Resort.

  a Lunch, with speakers, runs from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

  a Guests can “gain valuable insights, network with industry leaders, and be a part of the economic conversation,” the invitation said.

  a Last year’s event attracted 350 guests.

  a Tickets are $70 for members before April 1, $80 after April 1. Non-member tickets are $80 before April 1, $90 after.

Hospital's Dalton Homer named to Chamber board

  a Dalton Homer is the newest member of your Chamber’s board of directors.

  a Dalton, a member of the executive team at Silver member Northwest Healthcare / Oro Valley Hospital, succeeds Cameron Lewis on the Chamber board. Cameron is the new CEO at Lubbock Heart and Surgical Hospital in Texas.

  a Dalton is an Oro Valley resident who has worked at the hospital for nearly two years. He has a master’s degree in healthcare administration from the University of Utah.

         Dalton is “eager to contribute” his skills and expertise “to further the Chamber’s mission of education, workforce development and community outreach,” according to his letter of application. He is a “big believer in lifelong learning,” and is committing time and effort “to support the Chamber’s endeavors.”

Chamber, Town team with BizTucson for OV special

 a Your Chamber is joining forces with new member BizTucson and the Town of Oro Valley to produce a special edition celebrating Oro Valley’s 50th anniversary.

 a The special section, focusing on Oro Valley’s business community, is expected to reach a regional audience with more than 22,000 printed copies. In additional, individual copies of the special section are being distributed to Chamber members, area partners and various organizations, according to Chamber President / CEO Kristen Sharp.

'Meet the Scientists' on Wednesday, 4/3, at UA

 a It’s an evening of tours, fireside chats, and poster presentations by University of Arizona research scientists. Guests can examine the collaborations “that forge innovative solutions for evolving disease, nutrition, water and food safety challenges impacting Arizona and beyond,” an invitation said.

IMPACT's drive-through food gathering is Friday, 3/29, at Walmart in OV

  a Chamber member IMPACT of Southern Arizona hopes to gather 5,000 items of non-perishable food at its quarterly drive-through food drive Friday, March 29, at the Walmart Supercenter in Oro Valley Marketplace.

  a Diamond member Golder Ranch Fire District is aiding the event. Firefighters remove donations from your car.

  a The food drive runs from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. that Friday. The address is 2150 E. Tangerine Road.

  a At IMPACT’s food bank, people select their own pantry items. “Anything you like to stock in your pantry is appreciated by the thousands of people we feed each month,” an invitation said.

  a Annually, IMPACT distributes more than 100,000 food items.

With merger, Commerce Bank becomes Southwest Heritage Bank as of 3/25

  a Chamber Silver member Commerce Bank of Arizona becomes Southwest Heritage Bank this Monday, March 25.

  a Commerce and its parent company, CBOA Financial, are in the final stages of a merger with Bank 34 and its parent, Bancorp 34, Inc.
