Welcome to the Team, Inecita!
During these difficult times when mental health support is more important than ever, we are extremely pleased to welcome Inecita Burrell, MSW to our Charting Careers team! In her role as Family Partnership Coordinator, Inecita will build relationships with our students and families, provide case management, make mental health support linkages, and help families set and achieve their goals.

Inecita has a master’s degree in social work from the University of Maryland School of Social Work, with a focus on families and children. She has experience working in school settings, community organizations, and advocacy with and on behalf of children and families. Before completing her master’s degree, Inecita worked as a community interviewer for the Systems of Care programs utilizing the wrap-around model, which provides a unique set of community services and natural supports individualized for a child and family to achieve a positive set of outcomes. She has spent most of her life dedicated to volunteerism within the United States and internationally.
October 2020 - Kicking Off Mentoring
Charting Careers 2020-2021 mentor kick-off training focused on helping mentors continue to foster trusting relationships with their mentees and the resources available to support mentors. We look forward to sharing in future newsletters how our scholars and their mentors both learn and grow from these life-changing relationships.
Back-to-School Campaign Is a Success - Providing Important Predictable Giving for our Growing Organization
Our goal was to add 20 new monthly donors ($500 total in new monthly giving). We are thrilled about the 22 families who joined our Charting Careers community, pledging to give monthly. In addition, we raised over $1200 from one-time, generous donations. We look forward to sharing in future newsletters the results made possible through these funds.
