Get involved in the ISBNPA mentoring program!
The mission of the ISBNPA mentoring program is to strengthen the connectivity of ISBNPA members by providing opportunities for members to interact regularly outside of the annual meeting. The program offers members an added value to their membership throughout the year. There is flexibility for mentors and mentees to define their mentoring relationships in terms of expectations for regular meetings, the length of the connection, etc.
Benefits of being in the mentoring program include:
- a chance to interact with potential colleagues outside of your institution;
- resources for how to jump-start the mentoring relationship;
- bi-annual newsletters featuring mentoring tips, a spotlight of a current mentor/mentee pair, and other mentoring resources;
- opportunities to develop personal and professional skills, etc.
Contact Megan.Mueller@colostate.edu if you’re interested in being involved as a mentor or mentee. We’ll also have leading experts in nutrition, physical activity, and behavior change research to connect with during the ISBNPA Xchang during the breaks. Please consider taking advantage of this mentoring opportunity during the conference!
