Seminole County Public Schools-
There are opportunities for elementary schools in Seminole County:
- One opportunity is Reading Accelerated Program (RAP) and that is helping first graders catch up on their reading (30 minutes per student) with one hour commitment.
- Mentoring is another opportunity. For this you will be paired with a student in elementary school and meet with them during the school day possibly at lunch. You will work on academic achievement and future goals. You may also be asked to talk about tardiness.
- Last is helping in the classroom. Sometimes students need a little extra assistance, and this opportunity helps the teacher to make sure all students are getting what they need.
Volunteers do need to be 55+
***SCPS require training and background check with
