The sixth ArTech Fusion at the Acadian Center for the Arts will once again feature performances and talks that promote and highlight the dynamic relationships between the Arts and Technology. Premiere performances and lectures will feature video, dance, animations, spoken word, and music. Additionally, the College of Arts will also honor the spark Lifetime Achievement Award winner Edward C. Mathes AIA. Edward C. Mathes is a native of New Orleans. He attended the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, VA from 1961 through 1964 and is a proud ‘68 graduate of the architecture program at the University of Southwestern Louisiana (USL now UL Lafayette). He has been chairman of Mathes Brierre Architects since 1982. Mathes Brierre is one of the nation's oldest and most successful architecture firms.
ArTech Fusion, the central event of the Festival of the Arts, is a celebration of the Innovative creative work by faculty students and Community Partners fostered by digital resources at UL Lafayette and in the local community.
