| Folks,
While COVID-19 has changed much of the way we live our lives and campaign, our primary election date has not yet changed. Indeed, May 19th is fast approaching and finally flipping the 7th District blue has never been more important.
Today, I am reaching out to you to make sure you are keeping an eye out for your absentee ballot request form (pictured above); if you haven't received it already, you should receive it by April 10th. If you would like to fill one out now, click here.
As you fill out your form, be sure to check the "Democratic" box to ensure you receive a ballot for our primary. After filling out the rest of the form correctly, be sure to sign and date the form accurately and as you normally would.
Once completed, you have the option of emailing your county elections office a photo or scanned copy of the completed form (though your county's email address should be listed on your form, you can find your elections office information here); you may also mail the form back using a 55-cent stamp (postage is not provided or prepaid on either the request form or the ballot).
Once your ballot request form has been processed, you should then receive your ballot soon after. Again, be sure to fill out that form correctly (and vote for Brenda Lopez Romero!!!) and to sign and date as you normally would. After completing your actual ballot, you can either mail your ballot or drop it off at your county's election office.
Throughout this process, I encourage you to check up on the status of your ballot request form and ballot here.
If you have any other questions, feel free to reach out or take a look at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution's article on voting by mail. Your Candidate for Congress (GA-7), Rep. Brenda Lopez Romero |
