You Are Invited to a Virtual Workshop
GROOVE THE BELLZ WITH THE CAJON by Damien Lim (Ministry of Bellz, Singapore)
June 27th, 7:00 pm PDT via Zoom
What is a Cajon?
A cajon is a box-like instrument that the percussionist sits on and uses their hands, palms, and fingertips to create sound. The instrument is relatively 18 inches tall and 12 inches wide.

You’ve heard it on the streets, in the subway stations, on stage, even with handbells. But HOW DO WE EXACTLY USE IT to its potential, without sounding like a “soloist”. This workshop allows us to learn the fundamentals of playing on the CAJON (box-drum) & how to be an effective team player in a handbell ensemble. Hear it straight from a trained-percussionist.
