AriSEIA Updates
IMPORTANT NEWS
Dear AriSEIA Members,

Uncertainty is a word we're all familiar with in our current times. As a trade association, we represent our members' interests at all levels of government. As our parent organization SEIA continues to fight for efforts at the national level, we need to remember this is a united effort.

In honor of Earth Day, SEIA requested that we continue to urge Congress to take swift action to stem the devastating impacts of COVID-19 and to support the recovery and growth of the solar industry while advancing the critical principles of Earth Day. Though Earth Day has officially come and gone, the need to advance the message still remains. Please tell your member of Congress that we must #SaveSolarJobs from COVID-19 in order to protect the economy and our 250,000 American solar workers, while continuing the fight against climate change. Here's the April SEIA COVID Fact Sheet for more information.

Local and National Updates
This Solar Panel Just Set a World Record for Efficiency
A new kind of solar technology has set a world record for the most efficient generation of energy by a solar cell. By stacking six different photoactive layers, the record-setting multi-junction cell has reached nearly 50 percent efficiency in the lab and nearly 40 percent in β€œsingle sun” real-life conditions.

Solar Energy: Still Growing, But Not Everyone's A Winner
Before COVID-19, renewable energy was a bona fide, red-hot global investment theme. Then came the crash in oil prices, now in the high teens per barrel for North American benchmarks and falling fast.

Guest column: Supporting the solar industry will help economy recover from COVID-19
The COVID-19 pandemic has shown us the massive unforeseeable impact that unknown viruses can have on national and global supply chains. Economies around the world are at a standstill as several billion people have been told to physically distance in an attempt flatten the curve, the effects of which we do not yet fully comprehend.
