AriSEIA's News You Can Use
January 28, 2021
Dear AriSEIA members,

Have you or your company faced bureaucratic hurdles? Been log jammed by permitting processes? Felt like you’re hitting a brick wall? Well, if so, you are not alone.

AriSEIA has received a handful of concerns from our membership facing just these types of issues. As a result, we have formed a Codes and Permitting Subcommittee and are seeking your participation.

The intent of this subcommittee is to examine the “friendliness” of authorities having jurisdiction (AHJ) in permitting of solar-storage projects. Our mission is to provide an industry resource and perspective to the various jurisdictions to streamline permitting processes, timelines, and fees associated with residential, commercial, or utility-scale projects.

After gathering, AriSEIA membership feedback on relevant permitting experiences, we will pursue top-down conversations with the various AHJ leadership to create a more collaborative, compliance-oriented, and logical strategy for permitting in the state.

Please join the Codes and Permitting Subcommittee, chaired by John Mitman from our Board of Directors, on February 18, 2021 at 3:00 -4:00 pm. Register in advance for this meeting:

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.

We look forward to your participation in the first Codes and Permitting Subcommittee.

Also, if you haven't yet done so, please register HERE for our upcoming Annual Membership meeting which will take place on February 5, 2021 at noon – 1:30 pm MST. More info below.

This is also the last call for our Board of Directors election. The election period will run through TONIGHT, January 28 at midnight, so please make sure to vote if you haven't already done so. If for some reason you do not believe you received the email with voting info, please reach out to me so I may check our records and ensure your voice is counted. I can be reached at Nicole@ariseia.org.

Best,

Nicole LaSlavic
AriSEIA Executive Director
