ACC Energy Rules Decision:
At their last Open Meeting, the ACC voted 4-1 to increase the energy efficiency standard that was first approved in 2010. This is great news for solar+storage and Arizona! The Commissioners will discuss the energy rules further at a Contingent Open Meeting on October 29. Click here to read more about this important development, and stay tuned for more updates.
Election Reminders:
If you have yet to register to vote, a federal judge granted a last-minute extension to register. The new and current deadline to register to vote is 5 p.m. TOMORROW October 23, 2020. If you do not know the status of your voter registration, please check here. If you are not registered to vote, please do so hereOctober 23rd is also the last day to request a ballot by mail or to sign up for the Permanent Early Voting List. If you do vote by mail, please mail your ballot as soon as possible and no later than Tuesday, October 27th. If you are unable to mail your ballot back by Tuesday, October 27, you should return it to any voting location or secure ballot-drop box in your county by 7 p.m. on Election Day. Most importantly, election day is Tuesday, November 3rd and all ballots (in-person or dropped off) must be received by 7 p.m.

Arizona regulators give OK to requiring more energy efficiency from utilities
After four years of discussion, debate, workshops and multiple failed attempts, Arizona's energy regulators on Wednesday gave initial approval to a new requirement for electric utilities to boost their energy-efficiency programs.
