Solar panels on California’s canals could save water and help fight climate change
I was initially skeptical when I read about a new study from researchers at UC Merced, finding that covering thousands of miles of California’s largest canals with solar panels could generate huge amounts of clean energy at a reasonable cost, while saving lots of water by reducing evaporation.
This is How Much Renewable Energy Arizona is Producing
Renewable energy sources in Arizona accounted for 10.8% of electricity production in 2019. Nearly all renewable energy in the state comes from one of two sources: hydroelectric power plants and solar energy farms.

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) says that renewable energy can increase power grid reliability, improve air quality and create more jobs. Additionally, renewable energy can lower fuel and electricity costs, reducing the total cost of homeownership.
