PURPA Updates:
Great news! This week, the ACC voted to extend PURPA solar contract terms to 18 years. This is a huge win for independent solar producers looking to add more solar to Arizona’s grid under PURPA. Thank you to all who contacted Commissioners and showed up to voice your support for sensible clean energy policy this week!

U.S. residential solar market has best quarter ever
The U.S. residential solar market reached record highs in the third quarter of 2019 with 712 megawatts of solar installed, according to the latest U.S. Solar Market Insight report from Wood Mackenzie Power & Renewables and the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA). The U.S. solar market added 2.6 gigawatts of solar photovoltaics in the third quarter, swelling total U.S. solar capacity to 71.3 gigawatts.

Imported bifacial solar modules back on tariff exemption list
Talk about a solarcoaster. After having its tariff exemption revoked
in October
, bifacial modules are again exempt from the current 25% Section 201 tariff. The U.S. Court of International Trade (CIT) issued a temporary restraining order on the bifacial module exemption revocation in November, and now it has
decided to block
the U.S.

U.S. solar industry urges Twitter campaign to 'punch back' at White House
The top U.S. solar industry trade group on Wednesday urged members to use social media to hit back in a dispute with the White House over whether the Trump administration’s tariffs on imported panels are killing or creating American jobs.
