AriSEIA filed a letter in docket E00000Q-190015 to encourage the Arizona Corporation Commission to build an interim policy or provide interim direction around the notion that utilities should be required to offer financeable terms to PURPA developers. Click here to read it.

  Arizona Corporation Commission (ACC) Updates  
The Arizona Corporation Commission this week voted to approve APS’ annual application for lost fixed cost recovery adjustment.

Tucson and TEP Updates
After a long wait, Tucson Electric Power Company’s energy efficiency plan has finally been approved. Additionally, the ACC approved the utility company’s electric vehicle incentive plan proposed last December. 

National Updates
Michigan regulators clamp down on utility’s political spending

In an unprecedented move, the Michigan Public Service Commission has prohibited a major utility from using corporate dollars to fund nonprofit political advocacy groups.

Northeastern installers put up 902 MW of distributed solar

Massachusetts, New York and New Jersey together added nearly 700 MW; Massachusetts also leads the solar-per-capita leaderboard.

Green New Deal resolution calls for 100% zero-carbon power within 10 years

Progressive Democrats in Congress on Thursday released a nonbinding resolution for a Green New Deal, calling for massive public investment in renewable energy and the power grid to decarbonize the electric utility sector within a decade.
