PTO “Wild About Reading” Read‑A‑Thon — How It Works & Student Incentives

Aristoi Cypress PTO is excited to launch the 2026 “Wild About Reading” Read‑A‑Thon, a fun and engaging way for scholars to grow their love of reading while raising funds for our school! From February 12–27, 2026, students will read minutes/pages/chapters and collect sponsorships through their personal online Read‑A‑Thon page. Families can easily register, share their link, and gather donations online, and the PTO keeps over 95% of all funds raised.

Our schoolwide goal is $15,000, and every student is encouraged to raise at least $150. We aim for 100% of scholars registered!

Along the way, students, classes, and families can earn amazing rewards:

  • Every registered scholar receives an animal bookmark.
  • For every $50 raised, students earn a raffle ticket for one of 15 fun prizes, plus additional tickets for completing the Read‑A‑thon BINGO card.
  • Classes with 100% registration earn a special snack and story time.
  • Top earner in each grade wins a 1st‑in‑line pizza day pass for the rest of the school year, plus free popcorn on Popcorn Wednesdays.
  • The family that raises the most wins a Houston Zoo family membership.
  • The top homeroom receives a Creature Teacher visit and gets to meet a baby kangaroo up close!
  • The overall school winner receives a customized water bottle and their choice of one of the 15 raffle prizes.
  • Teacher incentives unlock free drinks or Chick‑fil‑A lunches when their class hits registration milestones.

Weekend incentives include Chick‑fil‑A vouchers for top earners and an outdoor picnic lunch for the grade that brings in the most donations.

Finally, schoolwide rewards include:

  • A Wild Sock Day when we reach $15,000
  • A book & blanket leisure time event if we reach $20,000

Let’s go WILD for reading and support Aristoi Cypress together!

World Heritage Day

February 25, 2026

Scholar's may dress in appropriate cultural attire from their family heritage.

Lunch Visitors

Parents are welcome to join their child for lunch during their scheduled time, except on days of School testing or when the administration calls for a closed campus. Parents and children eating together are seated at a designated area in the lunchroom. Parents may bring their own child lunch but may not bring food for other students. Parents must email the school one (1) hour before the scheduled lunch time, if a non-parent adult will be joining their child for lunch. The name of the visitor must be included in the email. The school’s administration reserves the right to determine whether an adult visitor will be allowed to have lunch at Aristoi Classical Academy. Visitors will not be allowed to visit with other students and must adhere to all Aristoi Classical Academy policies and procedures. When visiting during lunch, advanced notice is always appreciated so that staff can ensure adequate seating.

College T-Shirt Day

February 26, 2026

Students are invited to show their school spirit by wearing a T‑shirt from their favorite college. It can be a school they love, one they hope to attend one day, or a fun team they cheer for!

Please remember to follow our Casual Dress Guidelines.

Go Texan Day!

February 27, 2026

Celebrate Texas pride by dressing in your favorite western wear—think jeans, plaid shirts, boots, big belts, and cowboy hats!

Please remember to follow Casual Dress Guidelines.
