Grammar & Logic School News

We wish you a happy and safe Thanksgiving break. Please remind your interested friends and family that the Prospective Family Open House is scheduled for December 2nd. Giving Tuesday kicks off on Monday, November 27th. This is a wonderful opportunity to support the Aristoi Mission.

Don't forget to order a delicious BBQ plate by November 30th for the upcoming 2nd Annual Aristoi Cypress Christmas Program. Bring a toy for the toy drive and your camera to snap a picture with St. Nick. Enjoy your week off and we look forward to seeing you all on campus soon!

Giving Tuesday is November 28th

We're kicking it off on Monday, November 27th!

Giving Tuesday kicks off the Aristoi Classical Academy Year-End Appeal. However, we're getting a head start at Aristoi Cypress and launching the program on Monday, November 27th! Watch the announcements for more information.

The top 10 contributors on Giving Monday or Tuesday will receive a one-of-a-kind Aristoi Christmas Ornament.

Inaugural Swim Team

First Swim Meet is the Cypress Christian Invitational on Monday, December 4th at 6:15 PM at Cyfair Natatorium, 12550 Windfern Road, Houston, 77064. Warm-ups begin at 5:15 PM for all swimmers. GO Griffins!

Swim practices are held at Fleet Aquatic Center at 14654 Spring Cypress Drive, Cypress, Texas 77429. Practices are on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings from 6:00 AM - 7:15 AM in either the indoor or outdoor pools depending on the lanes. The swim season this year is from November 1st through February 1st.

The coaches for Swimming are Mrs. Blacklock and Mr. Small.

Semester Exams

December 12th - December 15th

These exams account for one-seventh of the fall semester grade for each course. Please note the following changes to the schedule during exam week:

The school day begins, as normal, at 7:55 AM.
Final exams are held Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
Each day is an early release day at 12:20 PM. Once students finish with the second exam, they will be dismissed.

Please discuss with your student what classes he/she has at each time period to understand which finals he/she has each day. Students may bring a snack to school each day. It is recommended they bring a book to read when they are finished testing.

6th Grade Medieval Tournament, December 11th

Sixth grade Griffins play in various tournaments with games and toys of old as they learn about medieval culture. For more information please contact Mrs. Fast.

K-5 Christmas Parties

Class Party Schedule:

10:45 AM - 11:30 AM - Kinder - 2nd grades

11:30 AM - 12:15 PM - 3rd - 5th grades

Here are some important instructions to help make your visit to Aristoi a pleasant experience:

We are expecting many guests. Please adhere closely to the party schedule to assist with parking and to maintain class order.

Please pre-register on this LINK for the Holiday Party.

Please pre-register as soon as possible, but no later than December 13th at 4:00 PM. Pick up your visitor's badge at the front desk.

If you DO NOT pre-register, please park and check-in at the front office with your driver's license.

Due to space, please do not bring siblings (Aristoi or non-Aristoi) to class parties.

Aristoi Cypress Chess Club

Aristoi Classical Academy - Cypress is starting its inaugural Chess Club when we return from Christmas Break. The club is open to students in grades 1-8. Mr. Harkins is instructing grades 1-4 every other Monday, and Mrs. Clark is instructing grades 5-8 every other Thursday. Chess Club meets in the library on scheduled days from 3:30 - 4:15 PM. A calendar is provided to those who are able to join. The inaugural club has 20 open spots in the grades 1-4 meetings and 20 open spots in the 5-8 meetings. It will be first-come, first-served until the spots are filled. Next year, we hope to open the club to more students.

Prospective Family Open House, December 2nd

It's that time of year when we cordially invite prospective students and families to join us at Aristoi and learn about our culture, classical education, student life, and more.

Aristoi Cypress PTO & Booster Club Updates

Aristoi Cypress PTO is offering a BBQ Dinner at the Christmas Program on Tuesday, December 5th

You can purchase a pulled pork sandwich ($12) or a hot dog ($7) for dinner. All dinners come with a drink, chips, and a cookie. Meals must be ordered by November 30th and are available for pick up at Prince of Peace during the night of Aristoi's Christmas Program.
