Grammar School News

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! We hope you are enjoying and relaxing with your families and friends this Thanksgiving Break! Continue to spread the word about Aristoi's Open House and classical education. Cookies with Santa is a lovely Aristoi tradition and is right around the corner. Get in the holiday spirit with our 2nd Grade Sing-Along program! We are full tilt into the holiday season! Come join us! We kick off Giving Tuesday on Monday, November 27th! Mark your calendars for Coffee with the Headmaster and the Head of School coming up December 1st and 8th. More information is included below.

First Grade Field Trip, November 30th


They are off to the Natural Science Museum! Aristoi's first grade scholars are heading to the museum for a day of science, fun, and exploration!


Following are the details:


  • Permission Slips due November 15th 
  • Sack Lunch Form due November 13th 


Student Tickets:

Student tickets cost $8 each. Cash or check is accepted. Please make checks out to: Aristoi Classical Academy.   


Chaperones:

There are a limited number of chaperone spots available for this field trip. If you are interested in chaperoning please complete the bottom portion of your child's permission slip and return it to their teacher by November 15th, 2023.


We are drawing chaperone names at random to fill each spot. If you are selected to chaperone, you will sign Chaperone Guidelines and your ticket will cost $7.50.

School Board Meeting, December 11th @ 5:30 PM


This month's School Board Meeting is held at the Katy Logic & Rhetoric Campus.

Kinder Love & Logic with Mrs. Elgie, December 5th @ 8:00 AM

Through December Aristoi scholars will have health screenings throughout the day. 


Screenings are as follows:

New Students, regardless of grade, and Kinder, 1st & 3rd grade will have Vision, Hearing, and Acanthosis Nigricans (AN) Screenings.

Early Release Days

December 12th - 15th


Students are dismissed at 12:05 PM each day.

After-School Clubs are meeting the week of December 11th

After-school clubs are meeting the week before Christmas Break. Clubs will begin immediately after early dismissal at 12:05 PM, and finish at 1:00 PM.

December 15th, End of 2nd Quarter Grading Period

Lunch in the classrooms and no specials:

  • 1st - 10:00 AM
  • Kinder - 10:15 AM   
  • 2nd - 10:30 AM
  • 4th - 10:45 AM
  • 3rd - 11:15 AM

 

Classroom parties – in the Commons

   

  • Kinder - 8:30 AM - 9:00 AM
  • 1st - 9:15 AM - 9:45 AM
  • 2nd - 10:00 AM - 10:30 AM
  • 3rd - 10:45 AM - 11:15 AM
  • 4th -11:30 AM - 12:00 PM


Please note: Scholars may wear dress code OR Spirit Wear on December 15th. Christmas/holiday socks are approved, but Christmas attire is not.


Special Note: Siblings may not stay in the Commons during other siblings' parties. Students must return to their classrooms at the end of their party.

Giving Tuesday kicks off the Aristoi Classical Academy Year-End Appeal. However, we're getting a head start at Katy Grammar and launching the program Monday, November 27th! Watch the announcements for more information.


The top 10 contributors on Giving Monday or Tuesday will receive a one-of-a-kind Aristoi Christmas Ornament.

The annual Holiday Sing-Along Program happens December 5th @ 6:30 PM in the Commons. Singing together is the perfect way to join the community in festive holiday spirit!
