Labor Day Service Project for Cross Country (aka XC)
This past Labor Day the Cross Country team dedicated their time and talent toward giving back to the community and those in need by participating in the Back2School 5K.
| This fundraiser raises money for Ainsley's Angels, a nonprofit whose mission is to promote inclusion by providing inclusive running opportunities for people with disabilities. | |
Some of our high school runners served by pushing the Angels for the duration of the 5k while junior high, high school athletes, and xc parents served in volunteer positions such as passing out water, registration and packet pass-out, biking the course, course marshalling, or cheering on the participants at pitstops.
Thank you for making a difference, Griffins!
