Leadership Change-Up at Arizona DIFI

Director Evan Daniels recently stepped down as Director of the Department of Insurance and Financial Institutions. Financial Institutions Deputy Director Shane Foster has been named as Active Director until Governor Hobbs appoints the new Director.

Jon Savary is still the Deputy Director of Insurance.

AZ Rep. Ciscomani Appointed to US House Appropriations

Arizona's new Representative from Congressional District 6, Juan Ciscomani, was the only Freshman named to the House Appropriations Committee, signaling that Republican leadership views him as having a very bright future in the conference.

Arizona DIFI Fraud Unit Case Results in Conviction and Over $2.5 Million in Restitution

Department of Insurance and Financial Institutions’ (DIFI) Fraud Unit investigation and prosecution by the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office, Jamie Baltazar, 47, of Gilbert, AZ, was sentenced to 10 years with the Arizona Department of Corrections (ADOC) and an additional five years of supervised probation upon her release from ADOC.
