Here is the lineup for the 2014 Armed Forces Day Parade
There are specific instructions for each section. Please contact the Chamber ASAP if there are any questions at 479-3579.
We have done our best to put requests for bands/entries who are in other events that day in early sections of the parade. However, if it was not requested on your entry, we can not change the lineup. We have a number of requests for early entry, we did our best to accommodate those requests.
Attached is a map with the parade lineup, the bus route to drop off the bands, and equestrian units dropping off horses. (Buses with bands and horse trailers should proceed eastbound on 6th to northbound Pacific to Evergreen Park for drop off.) After the bands are dropped off at Evergereen Park, buses will be directed to parking.
Early Busses will be directed to Park on Pacific Ave, North of the parade route. on 11th, East of Pacific, facing the Manette Bridge, and in the right lane of 6th street, between Pacific and Washington. Later Busses will be parked at Evergreen Park boat ramp, and on Sheldon Ave.
VERY IMPORTANT!
Local band entries that have parents dropping off their kids with no bus service. The drop off point for them is at the Olympic College Parking Lot on 13th and Warren Ave. They can cross Warren at the lighted crosswalk.
PLEASE tell the parents that the roads are closed going to Evergreen Park, and they are not allowed to drop them off at the park!
We ask that you schedule your arrival according to the following:
- Units with a assigned number in Sections A - E:
- 1 - 10: Arrive No later than 8:30
- 11 - 20: Arrive No later than 9:00
- 21 - 30: Arrive No later than 9:15
- Bands & Equestrian units arrive at Evergreen Rotary Park:
- Section A: NLT 8:00
- Section B: NLT 8:20
- Section C: NLT 8:40
- Section D: NLT 9:00
- Section E: NLT 9:20
A parade marshal will line up the bands on Park Ave.
VIP Parking and parking for clubs, kids, etc, is at the OC Parking lot at 13th and Warren Ave.
"A" & "B" Sections will be lining up on 11th between Warren Ave and Park Ave facing east. Arrive at these Sections from the intersection of Warren Ave and 11th.
"C" & "D" Sections will be lined up on 11th between Pacific and Park Ave, facing west. C & D entries should enter the route via 6th street east to northbound Pacific to the intersection of Pacific and 11th or via northbound Washington Ave just past the Manette Bridge. You can enter Washington Ave via Burwell Ave and left on Washington, or come across the Manette Bridge and take a right.
"E" Section will line up on Park Ave at 17th, facing south. Arrive at E section from Warren Ave, eastbound on 17th to the intersection of 17th and Park.
There are several multi-vehicle entries that we will contact next week to direct to a pre-staging area.
Multiple vehicle units should make every effort to arrive together.
