A note from the president

Friends,

I’ve heard from countless of you wondering how you can help the Saint Paul community – both downtown and beyond – during these challenging times, and we’ve put together a couple opportunities for you to do just that.

First, check out the We Love Midway and We Love Saint Paul fundraising efforts we’ve launched with our partners to support small businesses most impacted during the recent civil unrest.

We also encourage you to join the Mears Park Clean-up Crew! This is an opportunity to volunteer on a regular basis to keep Mears Park conditions up to the standards we expect. Whether you are contributing your time or your treasure, we can make a difference when we all pitch in together.

Finally, we were happy to see the Mayor's emergency order to help make it easier for our bars and restaurants to serve outdoors with expanded options for patio and café spaces. Get out and enjoy these summer days with a long awaited drink or a snack at our beloved downtown restaurants. We're tracking which restaurants have outdoor spaces open here .

Stay safe and be well,

Joe Spencer

Saint Paul Downtown Alliance
We ❤️ Saint Paul
The Saint Paul Area Chamber of Commerce Charitable Foundation, Midway Chamber of Commerce and Saint Paul Downtown Alliance, are collecting donations to support our community with direct financial support to small businesses and nonprofits to help them rebuild their storefronts, reopen their businesses and serve our neighborhoods.

Communities and commercial corridors across our city, especially our Midway area, were heavily damaged during civil unrest. All donations are tax-deductible and will provide direct support for rebuilding efforts.

As we work to allocate and distribute these funds, we will focus on helping the hardest-hit and most vulnerable businesses in our community, which disproportionately includes Black, immigrant, and POC-owned businesses.

Mears Park Clean-Up Crew
The Saint Paul Downtown Alliance is asking for your help to clean up our shared downtown community.

We're looking for volunteers to pick up trash around Mears Park twice each day.

Shifts will occur at 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. daily.
