A note from the president
Hello friends,
As I am sure many of you have already heard, a number of events scheduled for the coming days, including Luckypalooza and the St. Patrick's Day parade, have been canceled due to COVID-19. While we are disappointed to miss out on some of our favorite events of the year, it is important that all of us do our part to keep our community healthy.

We're fortunate to have a great team of leaders and resources at Saint Paul-Ramsey County Public Health. Information has been changing by the hour, but up to date details can be found at :

At this time I would implore everyone to keep up the habits we're growing accustomed to: practice social distancing, avoid going out if you're feeling unwell, cover your cough and of course, wash your hands regularly with soap and water.

We will continue to share information as we have it available.

Finally, we've got a bit of brighter news below. The brand new Springhill Suites is scheduled to open in a few weeks. We had the pleasure of meeting with their general manager, Jim Sele, and getting a tour earlier this week. The hotel is beautiful and will be a truly wonderful addition to downtown. Congrats to everyone involved. Be sure as well to check out what the Saints announced this week.

See you all around (down)town,

Springhill Suites sneak peek
Earlier this week we had the fantastic opportunity to tour the brand new Springhill Suites that has been under construction at the corner of 7th Street West and Jackson Street. The 10-story, 185-room hotel is scheduled to open in early April and features an indoor pool as well as an outdoor patio that will be open to the public. General manager, and newly minted downtown resident, Jim Sele, expressed his excitement for Springhill's imminent opening and their commitment to being great downtown neighbors. We can't wait for warmer days ahead paired with some snacks and beverage on the brand new patio. Congrats to the whole team at Springhill Suites and good luck during the homestretch!

Count on the Saints to bring the fun
We could probably all agree that a bit of levity might be in order this week. Luckily, the St. Paul Saints are never far from their next bit of fun. This week the team who brought us ushertainers unveiled their 2020 Promo Calendar featuring 50 different events, activities and promotions. Whether you're looking forward to setting a new world record at the biggest ever game of Duck, Duck, Gray Duck or can't wait to score a Caddyshack bobblehead the whole list is worth a read and a giggle or two.
