A note from the president
Happy Friday, friends -
We’re headed into the weekend with beautiful weather and hopefully some opportunities to visit a favorite downtown patio for a bite or a drink. I know that for some, it has been a long week in the midst of a long year. As we celebrate Minnesota’s continued record for highest voter turnout in the country, let's also thank the countless volunteers, election judges and county officials who we depend on for successful elections systems.
With COVID-19 concerns still on our minds, the Minnesota Department of Health and Ramsey County have opened a free testing site downtown Saint Paul at Roy Wilkins Auditorium. Anyone is encouraged to get tested, even if they are asymptomatic. Appointments can be made seven days a week. More information can be found here.
Congratulations to Lee Krueger and his team at the Port Authority on the recent news that Treasure Island Center is nearly fully leased. Congratulations are also in order for nearby Candyland for receiving a 2020 Saint Paul Business Award. Read on below to learn more. Finally, take note of the opportunity brought to us by the Saint Paul Area Chamber of Commerce and Securian Financial - I encourage you all to sign up for their program, Fun Is Good with Mike Veeck.
Be sure to set your phones down, close your laptops and get outside to enjoy the weather this weekend!
Mask up and take care,
Joe Spencer
