A note from the president

Friends,

This coming Monday evening, the Minnesota Wild will host 3,000 fans at the Xcel Energy Center. While this is still a far cry from a sold out night at the X, it will be the most fans that the Wild have hosted in more than a year. I join the Wild management, arena staff and players in sending all 3,000 of the fans a hearty hello and welcome back. We are truly so happy to have you.

The language of the Governor's latest executive order allows for workers to begin to return to their offices on a voluntary basis beginning April 15. From what we've been hearing we expect that we will see some of these volunteers in the second half of April, with more returning on a rolling basis. (If you find yourself among the group of early adopters I'll remind you that we've been tracking what's new, what's currently open and where you can grab a bite or beer outside, here.)

These are the types of smaller victories that we've learned to spot amidst the challenges of the past year and will see more and more of in the coming weeks.

With spring break on the horizon for many of us, I'll keep things brief this week before the long weekend. I'm off to hop on the Empire Builder taking off from Union Depot and heading west for the week, an adventure I've been looking forward to trying for years. I'll be sure to report back on how it goes.

Keep reading to learn more about the Twins home opener watch party at CHS Field next week.

Take care and enjoy the beautiful weather this weekend,

Baseball is (almost) back!
Some of the most exciting news we've heard in recent months is the deal between the Minnesota Twins and the St. Paul Saints. As the official AAA team for the Twins, it's likely we can expect both a whole new ballgame for the Saints (pun very much intended) as well as the trademark fun the team is known for. But before their season kicks off in May, CHS Field is hosting a viewing party for the Twins home opener this Thursday, April 8 at 3:10 p.m.

Reminder : Register for Coffee & Convos
On April 15, Joe and Emma will be hosting this month's Coffee & Convos series put on by the St. Paul Area Chamber. This will be a fun and casual (and free!) opportunity to hear about what we've been up to over the past year, how we're preparing for workers to return to downtown and how to continue to support the downtown small business community in the meantime. We'd love to see you all there.
