Friends,

Winter Carnival is upon us and despite some changes to the programming this year compared to years past we are still excited to welcome thousands of visitors to downtown over the next two weekends. This year, in addition to the ice carvings in Rice Park you can also watch a nightly laser light show projected on to Landmark Center featuring art from local artist Marlena Myles and check out the special featured cocktails and mocktails at one (or more!) of the 15 restaurants participating, both a part of the Saint Paul is Lit festivities. You'll know them when you see them thanks to the bright teal lights in their windows but more information about that can be found below.

The first weekend of Carnival also brings back perennial favorite events like the puzzle competition, Saintly City Cat Show and more. Keep reading for a full round up of what's ahead.

Take care and have a great weekend,

-Joe

The Saint Paul Winter Carnival is collaborating with Melanin in Motion for two new events this weekend to promote community and diversity through physical activity.

The first of the two events, Slow Snow Glow, is a bike ride through the snowy streets of the Rondo neighborhood on Saturday. The second is Walk-Up Snowboarding on Sunday, free snowboarding lessons and some light competition on a hand-built snow park at Battle Creek Regional Park.
