Streets of Summer Spotlight : Minnesota Music Coalition
Over the last twelve weeks, dozens of musicians have performed across downtown as a part of Streets of Summer. From acoustic to electric, gospel to classical, bluegrass to classic rock and everything in between musicians have had the opportunity to show off their talent. Working behind the scenes and organizing each performance has been an incredible partner - the Minnesota Music Coalition , a nonprofit organization providing artists the skills, resources and opportunities to have sustaining careers in music.

There's still one week of music left, so be sure to mark your calendars and make it outside for at least one more performance.

Tuesday 8/27 : 12:00 p.m. at Ecolab Plaza - Dave Cofell

Welcome to the State of Hockey!
This week the Minnesota Wild announced that Bill Guerin will be the team's new general manager. Guerin is no stranger to the NHL, having spent the better part of two decades as a player around the country and much of the past ten years as an executive with the Pittsburgh Penguins - all told having been a part of four Stanley Cup wins.

However, Guerin isn't the only new member of the Wild team making his debut this week. On Monday the team introduced Breezer , the new team puppy. Breezer will be with the Wild for one year before being placed with a veteran or service member through Soldier 6. Breezer will also make regular appearances at home games and practices this year.

New treats now served in Lowertown
Sebastian Joe's ice cream is now available at Creator's Cup! Starting Wednesday the coffee shop will be open for new extended hours and serve eight different flavors - including a vegan option - of ice cream. They'll also have specialty items available that include their craft coffees. There's still plenty of warm weather in our future to get out and enjoy this long sought downtown amenity.
