First Baptist Church Venice has a Senior Ministry called J.O.Y. The J.O.Y. stands for “Just Older Youth” and we cherish the camaraderie with other believers. We enjoy day trips, week trips, cruises, special themed events at the church, dinner and theatre, dinner cruises, murder mystery train, gospel singing events and we are connected through the JOY of it all!

When planning a trip or an event, if you are 50 or over in age, you should be receiving emails from me regarding upcoming events. If you are not receiving emails from me, please let me know so that I may get you added to the J.0.Y. list. I need your name, dob, phone number and email address.

HELP NEEDED

As God is blessing our church and the young adult population grows, the population of children in our church also increases. Our nursery is one area that has seen growth over the last few months. This growth requires more workers to help in that area. If you are willing to serve on a Sunday one hour a week, one hour a month, or one hour a year in our nursery, we can use you. Please let me know if you are willing to help serve in the children’s ministry on Sunday mornings. Pastor John (941) 485-1314

Sundays at 9:45AM If you are a student 6th-12th grade, we would love for you to come visit us, hang out with us, and get involved with our student ministry! Pastor Josh will be leading our Youth Connection Class on in the Youth Room at the Miami Avenue Campus. Students are encouraged to attend the 11:00AM service.

LADIES BIBLE STUDY

Open to ladies of all ages | Thursdays 10:00AM-11:30AM | Large Fellowship Hall

We are studying Luke - Gut Level Compassion by Lisa Harper. We have a short video of her teaching, then will discuss our lesson. We start at 10:00AM but get there for coffee and prayer as you know at 9:45AM. If you have questions contact: Joni (941) 504-1947.
