Giertz Gallery, in collaboration with 40 North: Champaign County Arts Council, presents Around the Block IV: Artists from Our Neighborhood, June 5 through July 26, at the Giertz Gallery. A reception is this Thursday, June 8, from 5:30 - 7:30 pm with a musical performance by Cobra Lounge Trio. We look forward to this exhibition representing our community's vibrancy of the visual arts. Please join us Thursday evening.


The exhibition comprises artworks from our region and reflects the caliber of creative flourish in mid-central Illinois. Christopher Schneberger served as juror for this exhibition. Schneberger is an Assistant Professor of Photography and Gallery Director at Vincennes University. He also is a Chicago-based photographer and curator. He has curated several exhibitions and presented at the Society for Photographic Education's Midwest and Southeast conferences. Schneberger will give a gallery talk about the show on Wednesday, July 26, at 6:15 pm during a closing reception from 5:30 - 7:30 pm.

Giertz Gallery at Parkland College
