Hello COG Family! I pray your week is going well. As I look back at my first month in the Associate Pastor role, I feel an overwhelming amount of support from everyone at COG. I am blessed to be a part of a family that has such a strong love for Jesus. Thank you all!

COG Celebrations
COG Family Breakfast
On June 2nd, the Chefs of Grace held the first annual COG Family Breakfast. The Chefs served up a variety of foods including made to order omelets, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, fresh fruit, and more. The Chefs wanted to provide an opportunity to bring the COG family and the El-Shalom family together. Great food was provided and great fellowship was had with around 190 attendees. Keep an eye open for the next breakfast event in October.

Spring Cleaning
We want to send out a HUGE thank you to those who were able to make it for our spring cleaning day on June 15th. The small group from COG and El-Shalom church helped knock out a long list of items that needed attention. With their efforts, we were able to pull a mountain of weeds, repaint the parking lot lines, give the kitchens a good scrubbing, and much more. Thank you to William Fabrizio for getting everything we needed to get the work done.
Women's Ministry
The ladies of COG prepared a diverse selection of delicious salads for a night of fellowship on June 14th. After food and fellowship, the Mahjong tiles were brought out and play began. The ladies were grateful for May Chen and her son Conner who helped them understand the tiles and rules of the game. By the end of the third game, the ladies had a good idea of how to play this interesting and engaging game. Thank you to Joyce Baker and Judy Cale for organizing and leading.
Spotlight
VBS Roar at COG was a huge success this year. Thank you to all the volunteers and financial support that made it all possible. We had 70 kids in attendance, 40 adult helpers, 20 youth helpers, and 4 professions of faith. All of the kids heard the Gospel and learned how to look at the world with a biblical perspective. When life is unfair, scary, changes, or is sad - GOD IS GOOD!

The kids also raised $496.87 to donate to World Vision to directly help a program called The First 1,000 Days of Life. The money will help provide nutrition, health education, and medical well-visits for moms and babies in Zambia, Africa. When these children receive adequate nutrition and health care as babies, they are better prepared to stay healthy, fight infections, grow strong bodies, succeed in school, get jobs as adults, and contribute to prosperity of their communities.

Thank you to Nancy Carroll for organizing this event and to all the volunteers who made it possible.
The Staff's Choice
The COG staff is currently reading How to Worship Jesus Christ by Joseph S. Carroll. This short read is a great reminder of what worship looks like according to the Bible. If you decide to read this one, we'd love to talk with you on your thoughts.
