Manor Oktoberfest of Forest Hills

7311 Yellowstone Blvd

Forest Hills, NY 11375-4136

We are back in Forest Hills for great German food and beer. Join us for an evening of socializing and networking. President Bellew will introduce our 2025 Irishman of the Year and Aide to Grand Marshal John Samuelsen. Our usual Emerald fellowship will follow the introduction.

The Emerald Dinner circuit begins on October 18, 2024, at Antuns with the NYCD Emerald Society's 69th Annual Dinner, and the FDNY Emerald Society's 68th Annual Dinner will kick off on Friday, November 1, 2023, also at Antuns.

We would also like to remind you about our upcoming Cigar Night on November 18, 2024. A portion of the proceeds will go to Project Children. Last year, due to the generosity of our sponsors, affiliated organizations, and cigar enthusiasts who attended, we raised $10,000 for the Fighting 69th Historical Trust.

2025 Irishman of the Year

Aide to the Grand Marshal

The Grand Council of United Emerald Societies (GCUES) proudly announces that John Samuelsen, the International President of the Transport Workers Union of America (TWU) and a member of the New York City Transit Authority Emerald Society, will be honored with the 2025 Irishman of the Year award at the GCUES Irishman of the Year dinner on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at Antun's of Queens Village.

The TWU, founded by Irish men and women in 1934, advocates for economic justice for its 155,000 members across the airline, rail, transit, university, utility, and tourism sectors.

Established in 1956 and reorganized in 1975, the GCUES comprises over 20,000 members and 28 affiliated organizations. One of its significant responsibilities is selecting the Aide to the Grand Marshal of the New York Saint Patrick's Day Parade from the Emerald Societies.
