The Grand Council returns to Long Ireland on
Wednesday, June 7, 2023, 7:30 pm
THE IRISH POET OF WANTAGH
1891 Wantagh Avenue
Wantagh, NY 11793
We're back at The Irish Poet of Wantagh for our last meeting before the summer break! For those of you who remember, we had our December meeting here, and it was an absolute blast. Again, we had a fantastic turnout, with a vast Long Ireland contingent.
So join us for another fun-filled evening of socializing, networking, and learning. We will have a light meeting agenda followed by our usual fellowship. The atmosphere of The Irish Poet is very cozy and welcoming.
Take advantage of this opportunity to connect with your peers, learn something new, and have a great time. We'll see you there!
Please share this email with your fellow Emeralds.

Crest Hallow Country Club
It was a night to remember as we celebrated the sixty-first year of our founding at the Police Emerald Society, Nassau County Inc., Bi-Annual Installation Dinner Dance at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury, NY. The event was filled with laughter, camaraderie, and a sense of brotherhood-sisterhood. Members of the PESNC gathered to honor our proud Irish heritage and look toward the future with hope and excitement.
We started with a cocktail hour at the poolside, where old friends caught up and new friendships formed. Then, as we entered our ballroom, we were greeted by an atmosphere of celebration.
Timothy Rizzuto, 3rd Vice President, hosted the evening, and Nassau County Police Commissioner Patrick Ryder officially installed the 2023-2025 Executive Board.

The night was full of highlights, including the presentation of our prestigious awards and recognition of our outstanding members, NCPD PBA President Thomas Shevlin, 2023 Irishman of the Year, Cop Shop's Sue Piccolo, 2023 President's Award, Sean Rourke, Past President award recipient, and Police Officers of the Year Rob Psomas, Michael Sierzant, and Dan Delargy.
The NCPD Emerald Society Pipe Band gave a tremendous command performance; Míse Eire dancers and local favorite Matt Wahl performed throughout the night.
The GCUES Past President, Mike Pitcher, led the Emerald Delegation from the NCSES, NYCD ES, and the NYPD ES.
As we reflect on the night, we are reminded of the Emerald Society's importance and the bond we share as members. The Emerald Society is a family that supports each other and honors the legacy of those who came before us.
We look forward to continuing this tradition and building upon our firm foundation established in 1962. We are proud to be part of the Emerald Movement.
Thank you to all who joined us and supported our journal.
I hope to see you at the Irish Poet on June 7, 2023.

NCLEES has been instrumental in promoting and preserving the rich Irish-American culture within the law enforcement and public safety community for a quarter of a century. In addition, the organization has been a source of support, education, and camaraderie across the United States.
We salute NCLEES as it continues to serve as a unifying force for the Irish-American law enforcement and public safety community.
Currently, the GCUES has seventeen affiliated Law Enforcement Emerald Societies organizations out of twenty-seven affiliated organizations, twelve of which are current National Conference of Law Enforcement Emerald Societies (NCLEES) members.
Current WDCA PES President Patrick O'Brien (Bayridge-Brooklyn native) founded NCLEES and served as its first President.
