Volgistics and the VIC (Volunteer Information Center)

We recently started using Volgistics to record volunteer hours and we are getting positive comments.  If you did not receive an email with your PIN, please look for the black Volgistics binder in the front cabinet at the RMH at Riley or the front office at Limestone containing an updated list of PINs and instructions on how to use Volgisitcs.

If you have any questions, please contact Mary Friend at mfriend@rmhccin.org or at (317) 267-0605, ext. 225.
Help "Team Ronald" Win the Heroes for the House Team Challenge
The 10th Annual Heroes for the House "Team Ronald" is up and running for the big event on Saturday, June 18 at 8:30 a.m. at White River State Park.  Go to
iremrunforronald.org to register.  On page two of the registration form, use the drop down box to choose "Team Ronald" as your team affiliation.
You don't have to walk or run to be part of the team.  You can still sign up, make a donation to our team and just show up and hang out for a couple of hours.  If you can't make it on the day of the run, your shirt can be picked up the next time you are at the House.
Contact team captain, Mike Rhinaman, at mrhinaman@rmhccin.org  if you have questions. We are going for the trophy for the team with the most participants. Let's make this the biggest year ever!
Operations Update - Limestone
  • Please remember to completely fill out the In/Out sheet when checking guests in and out.  Also make an entry on the Cash Receipts Journal whether or not there was a financial transaction with the guest.
  • Please remember to initial the Daily Task List after you complete a volunteer task.
  • It is very important that you complete the "Room Stay" section of the guest registration card both at check-in and at check-out.
  • The number of completed exit surveys is on the rise thanks to the help of our volunteers!  Please keep up the good work! We would still like to see an even better response.
  • Don't forget the parking tag log when signing tags in and out.
  • Be sure you check the communication binder every time you report for your shift.  This is the best way to stay up to date on new and updated information.
Reminder from Rhonda at the RMH at Riley
The Overnight and Day Guest Program Guidelines were recently updated for the RMH at Riley.  Please review them when you are in for your next shift.

Look Who Was Caught Rolling Out The Red Carpet

Cindy Hutchison recently caught Katy Brawley, Guest Services Volunteer (GSV) at Limestone, demonstrating appreciation, respect and dignity towards others, cooperation, communication and teamwork.

Cindy wrote: "Katy was in the process of checking two apartments and getting them ready for new transplant families.  She discovered that the beds in one of them didn't have the zippered mattress encasements and alerted me. She then graciously helped me lift the mattresses and box springs to put new ones on.  Without her help, this would have been extremely difficult. Thank you Katy for not only being observant but also for being willing to help."

Thanks Katy!

Congratulations Katy!  Your name was drawn this month in our Red Carpet Award drawing and your Crew Carwash pass is in the mail.

Remember if you catch a volunteer or staff member rolling out the red carpet and demonstrating excellent customer service, please submit a nomination using the form below listing the criteria.  Printed copies of this form are also available in the front office at both Limestone and Riley.  Each month, all nominations are eligible for a random drawing for a Crew Carwash pass.
