| | Clinton Park Celebrates Cultural Awareness Week | | |
Over 3 dozen English Language students at Clinton Park participated in a Multi-Language parade to celebrate Cultural Awareness Week.
Clinton Park has over 68 EL students speaking more than 12 languages.
| | All Campuses and Offices will be close for instruction on Presidents' Day on Monday, February 16. This day will serve as a school holiday for students and a Professional Development day for teachers. Instruction is scheduled to resume on Tuesday, February 17. | | CHS students visit Maritime Training Center | | CHS students in Gwendolyn Henderson's and Melissa Broome's College & Career Readiness classes visited the Maritime Training Center at Ergon during this year's Maritime Interaction Day in Vicksburg where they were exposed to a large number of career opportunities. | | |
The Clinton Public School District has four students who have recently had a Wish granted or hope to have granted soon.
The CHS Anchor Club is selling t-shirts to raise funds for Make-A-Wish Mississippi.

Leszczynska selected as summer National Youth Correspondent
Clinton Public School District is proud to announce that Clinton High School student Jazlyn Leszczynska has been selected to attend the Washington Journalism and Media Conference (WJMC) as a National Youth Correspondent, representing both Clinton High School and the state of Mississippi.

Linton awarded NFHS music award
Clinton Junior High School choral teacher Erin Linton was recognized by the Mississippi High School Activities Association as the recipient of the inaugural NFHS Middle School Educator of the Year.
Linton’s award placed her as the top middle school music educator in the National Federation of High School’s Section Three consisting of eight states: Louisiana, Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina and North Carolina.

Child Find is a service required by the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). It helps identify, locate, and evaluate children from birth through age 21 who may need early intervention or special education services. Early identification helps children get the support they need to succeed.

The Clinton Public School District is looking for teachers who are interested in joining our team.
Anyone interested in signing up for a 15-minute mini-session scheduled for Tuesday, February 17, 2026, can do so by clicking on this link.
The CPSD Teacher Fair is scheduled from 4:30pm-7:00pm at CPSD’s Central Office on Tuesday, February 17.
The two-step process includes filling out an Informational Form and signing up for a time slot through Google Calendar.
Please select only ONE appointment time slot.
**Anyone interested in signing up for an Elementary Slot and a Secondary Slot, please select ONE OF EACH for different times.**
Both the INFORMATIONAL FORM and the GOOGLE CALENDAR portion must be completed to secure the appointment.

| | Arrow Tennis wins UTSA Classic Flight | | |
The Clinton High School Tennis team started its 2026 campaign with a resounding result at the UTSA High School Classic on Saturday, February 7, in Ridgeland.
The CHS Red team won Flight 2, defeating St. Aloysius, French Camp Academy, and Northwest Rankin.
The CHS Black team defeated Warren Central but fell to Pontotoc and Northwest Rankin.
In the MHSAA Region 2-7A opener, the Arrows dropped a 7-0 decision to Madison Central on Monday, February 9, at Brighton Park in Clinton.
The Arrows return to action on Wednesday, taking on Ridgeland in men's varsity play at Brighton Park. Then, the Arrows take on Warren Central on the road this Thursday and host West Jones on Friday.

The Clinton Boys' Powerlifting team opened the 2026 season with a strong showing at the MHSAA Region 2-7A Region Meet on Saturday, February 8, finishing fourth at Oxford High School.
In their first competition of the year, the Arrows earned multiple podium finishes across several weight classes, promising their continuation in the season.
The lifters who placed will advance to the MHSAA Region 2-7A North Half Meet on Saturday, February 21, at Lewisburg High School, with the goal of qualifying for the State Championship.

Lady Arrows advance to semifinal
The Clinton High School Women's Basketball team continued their hunt for a MHSAA Region 2-7A Tournament title with a 44-27 win over the Germantown Lady Mavericks Tuesday afternoon at Oxford High School, punching their ticket for the MHSAA Class 7A State Tournament with the triumph.
The Lady Arrows improved their overall record to 14-12 and set up a showdown with the No. 1-seeded Starkville Lady Jackets in the region tournament's semifinals. Both teams are set for a 3:30 p.m. tip-off in Oxford.

Lady Arrows advance to 2nd round
The Clinton High School Women's Soccer team showed reilience when it mattered most, scoring twice in the second half to defeat the Lewisburg Lady Patriots, 3-1, in the MHSAA Class 7A First Round Tuesday night at Arrow Field.
The postseason victory improved the Lady Arrows' overall record to a 14-5-3 and set up a date with Region 1-7A champion Tupelo on the road at Renasnat Field.
The two sides previously met in a non-region contest on November 8, battling to a 1-1 draw.

Clinton Cheer announces tryouts
The Clinton Cheer program announced its official tryout schedule and important deadlines for students interested in joining the 2026-2027 cheer squads on Monday, January 12.
Tryout packets will be available beginning February 2 and can be picked up at each student's school front office (Lovett, CJHS, Sumner Hill, CHS). Completed tryout forms must be turned in to the front office no later than 4 p.m. on February 20.

The Clinton Athletics Department would like to remind fans of important Arrow Field and Clinton Public School District (CPSD) athletic facility guidelines.
These policies apply to all athletic facilities operated by CPSD, including Arrow Field, the Clinton High School and CJHS gyms, Arrow Baseball Field, Arrow Tennis Courts, and Lady Arrow Softball Field.
Facility Guidelines:
- Students will not be allowed to bring backpacks in the stadium, gymnasium, or fields.
- Adults may bring necessary bags such as diaper bags and other necessary bags
- Children and students in 8th grade or below must be accompanied by a parent or adult to enter the facility.
- Adults supervising students are responsible for student behavior during the event.
- Anyone failing to follow these facilities guidelines will be asked to leave the game and premises.
Let's continue to make Arrow Field and all CPSD athletic facilities a safe and family-friendly environment for all fans.
