| | On Wednesday, January 14, the Mississippi Association for Gifted Children (MAGC) sponsored Gifted Day at the Capitol. Students from Eastside and Lovett attended and met with State Senators and Representatives. | | Emergency Notifications Reminder | | |
In the event of a weather emergency that could bring the need for information regarding school closures, delayed starts or early releases, the Clinton Public School District will notify the public through four outlets.
- Parents/Guardians will be notified through SchoolStatus via SMS/Text Messaging as well as Email.
- Emergency Notifications will be present on the CPSD Website at www.clintonpublicschool.com.
- CPSD will post all emergency notifications and updates on its X (former twitter) account @ClintonSchools.

The Clinton Public School District is looking for teachers who are interested in joining our team.
Anyone interested in signing up for a 15-minute mini-session scheduled for Tuesday, February 17, 2026, can do so by clicking on this link.
The CPSD Teacher Fair is scheduled from 4:30pm-7:00pm at CPSD’s Central Office on Tuesday, February 17.
The two-step process includes filling out an Informational Form and signing up for a time slot through Google Calendar.
Please select only ONE appointment time slot.
**Anyone interested in signing up for an Elementary Slot and a Secondary Slot, please select ONE OF EACH for different times.**
Both the INFORMATIONAL FORM and the GOOGLE CALENDAR portion must be completed to secure the appointment.

Clinton High School invites all 9th-11th graders and their parents to explore the class choices available during the 2026-2027 school year on Wednesday, February 4 from 5:00-6:30.
At 5:30, there will be an optional presentation in the Auditorium regarding Graduation Requirements.

Research has shown that it increases our productivity and efficiency whether as an employee, a student, or for our own personal accomplishments. While it may take effort to stay organized, it can reduce stress and maximize our time and energy. It is the key to success, a door easily blocked by clutter and chaos.

The Clinton Public School District's Board of Trustees will hold its monthly meeting at 7:00pm on Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2026, in the Central Office Boardroom.
The Board of Trustees meet on the second Tuesday of every month.

| | Clinton Boys outlast Starkville in PKs | | |
The Clinton High School Men's Soccer team went the distance and emerged victorious in a dramatic MHSAA Region 2-7A match, defeating the Starkville Yellowjackets in a penalty shootout after a 1-1 draw through regulation and overtime on Tuesday night at Arrow Field.
Goalkeeper Ryan Saxton delivered the decisive performance in net, turning away two Starkville penalty attempts to propel Clinton to a 4-1 win in the shootout. Juan Parades calmly buried the game-winning kick, sealing the victory for the Arrows.
Clinton converted all four of its attempt from the spot with Bradley Wells, Wes Ambrose, and Colton Cox also finding the back of the net during the shootout.
The Arrows hit the road on Thursday, January 22, traveling to Hughes Field in Jackson to take on the Murrah Mustangs in the Region 2-7A finale. Kickoff is set for 7:15 p.m.

Clinton Overpowers Starkville
From opening whistle, the Clinton High School Women's Soccer team was in complete control, cruising to an 8-0 Region 2-7A victory over Starkville on Tuesday night at Arrow Field.
Ellyn Burchfield recorded her 11th shutout of the season in the mercy-rule shortened contest.
The Lady Arrows (12-3-3, 7-2 Region 2-7A) travel to Hughes Field in Jackson to take on the Murrah Mustangs in the region finale at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 22.

Clinton Bowling squads secure state berths at Regionals
The Clinton Bowling teams punched their tickets to the MHSAA Class III State Tournament on Tuesday with strong performances at the Central Region Tournament.
Both the Lady Arrow Kingpins and the Arrow Kingpins finished second overall in the regional competition, held at Fannin Lanes, securing their spots among the state's top eight programs as postseason play continues.
The Lady Arrow Kingpins and Arrow Kingpins will compete in the MHSAA Class III State Tournament on Thursday, January 29, as the state's top-eight teams converge on Fannin Lanes in Brandon. Bowling action is set to start at 10 a.m.

Clinton Cheer announces tryouts
The Clinton Cheer program announced its official tryout schedule and important deadlines for students interested in joining the 2026-2027 cheer squads on Monday, January 12.
Tryout packets will be available beginning February 2 and can be picked up at each student's school front office (Lovett, CJHS, Sumner Hill, CHS). Completed tryout forms must be turned in to the front office no later than 4 p.m. on February 20.

The Clinton Athletics Department would like to remind fans of important Arrow Field and Clinton Public School District (CPSD) athletic facility guidelines.
These policies apply to all athletic facilities operated by CPSD, including Arrow Field, the Clinton High School and CJHS gyms, Arrow Baseball Field, Arrow Tennis Courts, and Lady Arrow Softball Field.
Facility Guidelines:
- Students will not be allowed to bring backpacks in the stadium, gymnasium, or fields.
- Adults may bring necessary bags such as diaper bags and other necessary bags
- Children and students in 8th grade or below must be accompanied by a parent or adult to enter the facility.
- Adults supervising students are responsible for student behavior during the event.
- Anyone failing to follow these facilities guidelines will be asked to leave the game and premises.
Let's continue to make Arrow Field and all CPSD athletic facilities a safe and family-friendly environment for all fans.

Clinton High School Career & Technical Education students competed in the Technology Student Association District Convention placing in the top tier of students.
Clinton placed 1st in Audio Podcasting, 2nd in Promotional Design, and On-Demand Video, 3rd in Promotional Design and Digital Video Production and 4th in Prepared Presentation.
