Welcome back, Arrows! You might be a teacher if the sight of fresh school supplies brings you joy—and the thought of chaotic desks or backpacks makes your eye twitch.


I’ve learned that starting the year by explicitly modeling organization pays off tremendously. Many students don’t naturally know how to keep themselves organized, so it’s our job to teach them.

Meal prices set for the 2025-2026 school year

School meal prices for the 2025-2026 school year will not change from the previous year.


Student lunches are $3.00 for a complete meal with prices for an adult meal now $4.00.


Prices for a student breakfast will remain $1.90. Adult breakfasts are now $2.50.


Students receiving meals at a reduced rate will not see an adjustment in cost. Reduced student lunches will cost $0.40 and reduced student breakfasts will cost $0.30


More information about Clinton's Office of Child Nutrition such as monthly menus and payment information can be found on the CPSD Child Nutrition Webpage.


Breakfast service times for each campus are listed below: 


  • Clinton Park* — 7:10am-7:45am
  • Northside/Eastside* — 7:10am-7:40am
  • Lovett — 7:30am-8:00am
  • CJHS — 7:30am-8:00am
  • Sumner Hill — 7:30am-8:00am
  • Clinton High School — 7:30am-8:00am
  • Clinton Success Center — 7:45am-8:15am


*Car riders at Clinton Park as well as Northside/Eastside must be in cafeteria no later than 7:30am.

Free/Reduced Meal Applications


Free and Reduced Price Meals are available to families who qualify.


If your family chooses to apply please complete the online application. Only one application per family is needed.

Teachers use WBGT to manage outdoor activities


With the temperatures reaching extreme conditions, the Clinton Public School District is playing it cool when it comes to spending time outside. 


Teachers at Clinton Park, Northside, Eastside and Lovett have also implemented the Wet Bulb Globe Temperature during scheduled recess.

CHS students attend SLAM II Camp


Rikki Grace Williams and Kyrian Lockhart, represented Clinton High School this summer at the SLAM II (Science, Language Arts, and Mathematics) program at Tougaloo College.


Both students earned multiple medals and certificates for their academic achievements throughout the program.

CHS Senior wins dance title with team


Olivia Ramsay, a senior at Clinton High School, along side 6 other team mates danced at ShowStoppers National Dance Finals in Biloxi, MS. She earned her the highest adjudication award of double platinum and first in her advanced category.


Her dance also had the highest overall score earning her the National Showstoppers Champion title, two full scholarships to Showstoppers conventions this year and a spread the Showstopper’s Magazine.

CPSD's District Calendar for 2025-2026 school year

The Clinton Public School District kicks off its second year following a modified calendar aimed at implementing strategic periods through the academic year to allow for focused academic review and student enrichment.

CPSD Board meeting scheduled for Aug 12

The Clinton Public School District's Board of Trustees will hold its monthly meeting at 7:00pm on Tuesday, Aug 12, 2025, in the Central Office Boardroom.


The Board of Trustees meet on the second Tuesday of every month.


These meetings are open to the public.

Jonathan Perkins receives Coach of the Year Honors


Long-time Clinton Track and Field Head Coach Jonathan Perkins added another accolade to his resume on Tuesday, July 15.


Perkins was named as the 2025 Girls' High School Track and Field Coach of the Year for the state of Mississippi by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).


The Clinton native is a four-time recipient of the 11th annual USTFCCCA state coach of the year award for girls' track, including 2014 (the inaugural year), 2022, and 2023.

Clinton Athletics follows MHSAA WetBulb Guidelines


As the 2025-26 athletic year is around the corner, Clinton Athletics continues to follow wet bulb globe temperature (WBGT) data to make necessary modifications to practices and games, emphasizing player safety.


Mandated by the Mississippi High School Athletics Association (MHSAA) in July 2023, the Clinton Athletics Department monitors weather forecasts and specifically the WGBT readings daily.


"We are going to continue following the procedures mandated by the MHSAA and wet bulb globe temperature readings to keep all Clinton student-athletes safe," Clinton Athletics Director Judd Boswell said.

The Clinton Athletics Department is offering all-sports passes for the upcoming 2025-26 athletic year. All-Sports Passes grant access to all Clinton Public School District (CPSD) sporting events during each sports' respective regular season but cannot be used during the postseason.These passes may be purchased online at GoFan.co.


CPSD students (Grades 9-12) can purchase an All-Sports Pass for $60. To use their pass at the ticket gate, students must have a valid Sumner Hill or Clinton High School ID badge.


Adult passes can be purchased for $100.

Bowling tryouts scheduled for Aug. 7

The Clinton Arrow Kingpin Bowling Teams (Boys and Girls) will hold tryouts for the 2025-2026 season on Thursday August 7, 2025 at Indian Lanes in Clinton, MS (4:30pm-6:00pm).


The tryout is open to any CPSD student currently in the 7-12 grade. Participants will need to provide their own transportation to and from the alley on the day of the tryout.

All Clinton Athletics Varsity home games and, additionally, Arrow Football's six away games will be live streamed on Hudl TV.


Hudl TV will host live-streamed games for baseball, girls' and boys' basketball, football, girls' and boys' soccer, softball, and volleyball.
