Teacher of the Year

Pardue selected as Alyce Clark Teacher of the Year

Clinton High School special education teacher Lindsay Pardue was the first one nominated in January and has ended up being chosen as the top choice.


On Wednesday, July 23, Pardue was presented with the Alyce Clarke 2025 Teacher of the Year Award by 16 WAPT News. 


“Seeing the students succeed, whether that success is large or small, is what brings me joy every day,” Pardue said. 


She said the growth her students experience on a daily basis is what her team aims for.


“I keep the motto that everybody can learn,” she said. “They may not learn on the same day or in the same way, but they can all learn.”

PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT

The Clinton Public School District has drafted the IDEA Part B budget for Fiscal Year 2026. In accordance with Miss. Code Ann. §37-23-137(7) and 34 CFR §300.212, the proposed budget is available for public review and comment.

The Board of Trustees meet on the second Tuesday of every month.

Clinton Volleyball under new leadership as 2025 season begins


The Lady Arrows and first-year Head Volleyball Coach Natalie DuVall look forward to a competitive start to their season at the third-annual MHSAA Mississippi Volleyball Invitational (MVI) on Friday and Saturday (Aug. 1 & 2) in Jackson.


With a slew of returning rotational players from the 2024 season and a youthful roster, containing only one senior, Clinton looks forward to improving throughout the fall. For DuVall, the main focus is process over perfection. This process has paid dividends over the summer and preseason practices.

Arrow Field improvements made


The Clinton Arrow Athletics Department and Clinton Public School District (CPSD) concluded renovations to the track and turf surfaces at Arrow Field this week, highlighting many improvement projects that are ongoing for Clinton athletes. 


"Our facilities are being used by our student athletes 350 days a year so we want to make sure we have the best possible environment and equipment for them," Clinton Athletics Director Judd Boswell said.

The Clinton Athletics Department is offering all-sports passes for the upcoming 2025-26 athletic year. All-Sports Passes grant access to all Clinton Public School District (CPSD) sporting events during each sports' respective regular season but cannot be used during the postseason.These passes may be purchased online at GoFan.co.


CPSD students (Grades 9-12) can purchase an All-Sports Pass for $60. To use their pass at the ticket gate, students must have a valid Sumner Hill or Clinton High School ID badge.


Adult passes can be purchased for $100.

Clinton Athletics follows MHSAA WetBulb Guidelines


As the 2025-26 athletic year is around the corner, Clinton Athletics continues to follow wet bulb globe temperature (WBGT) data to make necessary modifications to practices and games, emphasizing player safety.


Mandated by the Mississippi High School Athletics Association (MHSAA) in July 2023, the Clinton Athletics Department monitors weather forecasts and specifically the WGBT readings daily.


"We are going to continue following the procedures mandated by the MHSAA and wet bulb globe temperature readings to keep all Clinton student-athletes safe," Clinton Athletics Director Judd Boswell said.

All Clinton Athletics Varsity home games and, additionally, Arrow Football's six away games will be live streamed on Hudl TV.


Hudl TV will host live-streamed games for baseball, girls' and boys' basketball, football, girls' and boys' soccer, softball, and volleyball.
