All CPSD Campuses and Offices will be closed for Spring Break starting on Monday, March 9 through Friday March 13.
Spring Break for the Clinton Public School District is scheduled for March 9 through March 13. All CPSD Offices and Campuses will be closed during the week of Spring Break.
Clinton’s Spring ArrowSession will be held from Monday, March 16 through Friday, March 20.
Instruction for the final nine weeks will start on Monday, March 23.

Students in Mrs. Pardue’s Alternate Diploma class at Clinton High School volunteered their time during Read Across America Week to read The Tooth Book to students in Mrs. Fowler’s, Mrs. Keith’s, and Mrs. Goza’s pre-k classes, as well as Mrs. Oswalt’s first grade classroom.
In addition to reading, the high school students created a fun craft activity to help the Pre-K students connect with the story and reinforce what they learned. Their visit brought smiles, laughter, and a love of reading to the younger students.
We are so proud of our students for being positive role models and helping make Read Across America Week a special and memorable experience for everyone involved!
| | Clinton Percussion went to compete in the WGI Madison Regional on February 28th. They placed first in Percussion Scholastic A class in both the preliminary and final rounds against groups from Mississippi, Alabama, and Tennessee. Their finals score places them in the top 10 groups in the country. | |
Scholarships for students with intellectual disabilities
Scholarships are one resource that can help students pay for college. Students with intellectual disability (ID) can access a range of scholarships. There are numerous scholarships available, but sometimes it can be hard to find the ones that apply to your situation.
If you search for disability-specific scholarships, you will find a long list of national scholarships. To save you some time, we compiled a list of disability-specific scholarships for which students with intellectual disability are eligible to apply.

Child Find is a service required by the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). It helps identify, locate, and evaluate children from birth through age 21 who may need early intervention or special education services. Early identification helps children get the support they need to succeed.

When discussing careers with students, we talk about what we know. We play it safe and then feel like we are doing our job because we included topics like salary, education, and basic job responsibilities in the discussion.
We must be diligent in reminding students to think outside the box when it comes to planning their future career. We shouldn’t want the easy answer.

The Clinton High School Tennis team continued a positive mid-season push Saturday, sweeping a doubleheader with wins over Presbyterian Christian School and Gulfport High School.
The pair of victories gives the Arrows four wins in their last five outings and improves Clinton's varsity record to 6-3 on the season.
Clinton has built momentum during this recent stretch, which also includes wins over St. Andrew's Episcopal School and Pisgah High School.
On Thursday, the Arrows return to Region 2-7A action against the Germantown Mavericks at the Madison County Schools Tennis Center. First serve is set for 3:30 p.m.

Baseball walks off Germantown
Tied at 5-5 and the bases loaded, Ethan Dodson grounded into a fielder's choice to the mound as Tate Farmer recorded the out at home.
Ashton Rayburn's throw from home plate, in an attempt to turn a double play, was low and off the mark, allowing Parker Burrow to cross home with the winning run and lift the Arrows to a 6-5 victory in eight innings.
With the triumph, Clinton improved to 7-1 overall and 1-0 in Region 2-7A play.
The Arrows continue their district series against the Mavericks on Thursday in Gluckstadt. First pitch is set for 7 p.m. on the campus of Germantown High School.

Track takes down Brookhaven
The Clinton High School Track and Field teams delivered a dominant performance Friday, sweeping both the girls' and boys' team titles at the Brookhaven Speed Trials at Brookhaven High School.
The Arrows totaled 220.5 team points, a 54-point cushion over Brookhaven, while the Lady Arrows amassed 254.5 points, defeating Hattiesburg by 96.5 points.
The Clinton Track and Field teams return to action at the Oxford Relays set for a 10 a.m. start on Friday, March 6, at Oxford Middle School.

Herron qualifies for state meet
The Clinton High School Girls' Powerlifting team competed at the MHSAA North State Championship on Saturday, February 28, at Oxford High School.
Senior Allison Herron earned a second-place finish, posting a total of 730 points across her lifts.
With the strong show out, Herron has advanced to the MHSAA State Championship, which will be held on March 28 at the Mississippi Coliseum in Jackson.

Archery soars past Vikings
The Clinton Archery team put together another winning performance on Thursday, February 26, tallying a team score of 3,068 to defeate the Warren Central Vikings, who posted a 2,460.
Clinton wraps up its regular season with a home match against the Pearl Pirates at the CJHS Gym. The first wave is set for a 4:30 p.m. start time.

Clinton Cheer announces tryouts
The Clinton Cheer program announced its official tryout schedule and important deadlines for students interested in joining the 2026-2027 cheer squads on Monday, January 12.
Tryout packets will be available beginning February 2 and can be picked up at each student's school front office (Lovett, CJHS, Sumner Hill, CHS). Completed tryout forms must be turned in to the front office no later than 4 p.m. on February 20.

The Clinton Athletics Department would like to remind fans of important Arrow Field and Clinton Public School District (CPSD) athletic facility guidelines.
These policies apply to all athletic facilities operated by CPSD, including Arrow Field, the Clinton High School and CJHS gyms, Arrow Baseball Field, Arrow Tennis Courts, and Lady Arrow Softball Field.
Facility Guidelines:
- Students will not be allowed to bring backpacks in the stadium, gymnasium, or fields.
- Adults may bring necessary bags such as diaper bags and other necessary bags
- Children and students in 8th grade or below must be accompanied by a parent or adult to enter the facility.
- Adults supervising students are responsible for student behavior during the event.
- Anyone failing to follow these facilities guidelines will be asked to leave the game and premises.
Let's continue to make Arrow Field and all CPSD athletic facilities a safe and family-friendly environment for all fans.
